It was a good run...

So this past Friday my wife and I ran the Twilight 5k race in Charlotte. It's a nice race cutting through the streets of the beautiful city in the uptown area. 1177 people ran it and my wife and I cam in 763 and 764. Now you need to know that this is the first time my wife has beaten me.

Our times were:
763 Donna: Chiptime 31:08 Guntime 31:19 Pace 10:05
764 Michael Chiptime: 31:09 Guntime 31:19 Pace 10:05

She's been slowly getting to the point where she can run the distance and the pace and this time proved it. Kudos to her I say!

Now it's my turn to push it to the next level. I'm not one of those fast slick runners, but instead, with the build of a powerlifter, just slow and steady. I can get a good sprint which is in my advantage at the end of a run. My wife just happens to have great form and awesome speed as well in short distances.

Cheers!
