To Pass An Evening With A Drink And A Friend...

Last night I got word that my dearest and best friend left this world for a better place. William "El Fogger" Foronjy (the stud in the middle with the MLB Yankees Shirt) was as close to me that I called him brother and meant it. I would love to tell you how the name El Fogger was due to the giant flies in Oneonta (our college), how he introduced me to football, baseball, how he changed my beliefs, views, and ideas in the time I knew him, how when I was hanging with him this past summer to see RUSH that it was the best time ever, how when I got an email, a card, a message from him it was no doubt who it was, but as you can see it would fill up any memory any server has. I am still in a stunned state of mind, I cannot believe he is gone. I received he and his wife's Christmas card but hours before the phone call. So in essence my mind was already with him, thinking of him, and smiling. Then the call came and I have been in this stunned state since. Rambling on about him to any who would listen. The music of RUSH will never be heard the same. The title of this post is from Time Stands Still from Hold Your Fire. That line was one that Bill and I always shared. That's all I ever wanted was to pass an evening with a drink and a friend. I am not one that needs huge parties, give me time to spend to share a moment in this precious world.

I love you Bill. I will miss you and think of you always. My heart goes out to your family and to all the people who will also miss you. You are probably hanging out with former Yankees, and Jet's members, learning new things, and patiently waiting for all of us to one day be with you again. When that moment comes I can only hope for you to be having a pint on hand for me. I love you bro, cheers!

Who out there hates colds?

I know I do! I am cursed! I ran the 8k Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving in Charlotte. Did good as I made it part of my training for a half marathon I was planning to run in less then 2 weeks. Notice that I say "was planning"...

After the Turkey Trot the bottom of my left foot started to tighten up on me forcing me to pause on my running, then I get slammed by a freaking cold. Which has now moved into my chest and with a tough time breathing and coughing I have admitted defeat and have canceled my plan on running the half. It bugs me because I view things such that when I set out to do something I do my best to meet any expectations or goals. When I am unable to I take it as a failure.

Not good I know...but I'll survive and the point of running is to be able to understand injuries and be able to run later if you can't today.

I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving! Now it's on to Christmas!!! Happy Holidays everyone!

Some of you may have known some of you may not have…but my awesome wife submitted a story for a comic distribution company that was having a contest. The topic to write about was which hero you would send to kill / capture Osama Bin Laden. Of course Dudish’s think outside the box and are a unique bunch (everyone laugh, chuckle, insert joke here) and she did think of a good idea which…yes…was so good it won the contest which was for a nice gift certificate for some goodies!

The story will be put on their blog or website eventually, and both can be found here:

http://www.superherostuff.com
http://www.superherostuff.com/blog/

But for you guys I include this story so enjoy!

Luthor and Bin Laden: Match Made in Hell?

Part 1

You know me, the guy voted most likely to be recruiting backstage passes to the latest slugfest. It’s all bullets and name-dropping, that’s what you pay me for. That’s what keeps you perched on the bus-seat edge, trying to read over Joe, Jack, Jill’s shoulder. And I live to serve my adoring public. So who could’ve been more surprised at the voice on the other end? I mean, really, why call me? You can’t work on this rag without hearing about “la femme Lane”. But her phone didn’t ring, mine did.
A call that left me enduring a November rain under an elderly umbrella. When the limo ghosted in behind me, I jumped.
“I would ask if it’s wet enough for you just to break out the clichés.” I squeaked back in surprise, too damn jumpy. Hey, you learn to be in my line.
“Lex Luthor,” I acknowledged as the passenger door swung open. And that began the conversation between your intrepid narrator of crime’s vicious lives and our city’s most reviled citizen.
I cupped my chilled fingers around a cooling brew, black and strong, no fancy lattes on this beat. When he reached to his breast pocket, I felt the cold sweat pop at my temples. The hand came out clutching a news clipping: “The Man of Steel vs. Radical Bombers.” I’d seen this one, a pure spec piece with a rather poor photoshopped “shot on the scene”. I said as much to Lex when I handed it back to him.
“That is inconsequential you see,” he replied. “I am far too intelligent to be taken in by this pulp. You work the inside and know the story from the tripe. The common man though, there is the rub. They will believe and Superman will have to prove them right.” Lex fell into the usual tirade he plays to any public, even a public of one. I’d heard it all before, we all have. If I was still a betting man, would’ve won the pot saying our Lane has not only heard it all but seen the proof.
He ground through the stump speech. Towards the end the brute hulking in the facing seat pulled Lex the last dreg of tea from a steaming silver samovar, ignoring the long since empty container in my hand. Only then did he stop. I have to tell you I was almost impressed with the constant theme, the tenacity, the sheer bullishness Lex displayed as he waxed on his number one topic. Websters should have a photo of Lex for obsession, that’s how crazy it was.
But at the end of it, he stopped and stated, “That’s why I will kill Osama bin Laden.”
I must’ve looked as confused as I felt. He smiled that English gentlemen’s club smile. “I will not have any peers. I am the superior man and I will not let some sorry excuse of a goat herder confusing pure luck with the genius of complete planned chaos interfere with me proving that. Until Osama is dead and his distraction gone, I cannot be sure of unrestricted access to the superjoke you so quaintly fawn over.”
For a moment, Lex fell silent. Staring at his face, I knew this was the man with the hate and drive to pursue beyond all limit, to see only the end and not the means. Here was the monster you send to kill a monster. At some unseen signal from Lex, brute made it clear the interview was over with a languid wave of his gun hand towards the rain peppering the window; Lex assuring me regular updates of his progress, me posturing on fair representation in the press.
It was a good twenty minutes before my shoulders came back down from my ears. Tobacco curled lazy-sweet around my head. I thought about a certain day. I thought about the power of ego, the siren lure of hate.
I thought yup, maybe Lex just could do it.
Part 2

Hello, hello, this thing on?
Hello?
Ok, not much time, just gotta hope it’s working. Nate here…your highway to the stars, criminal though they are. Not sure where I am. Well, I’m sure it’s a plane and this ain’t Kansas , can’t say more than that. How’d a ground-hugging, tube-rider like me get hijacked into a flying metal coffin? Wasn’t easy.
After our friendly chat, I didn’t give Lex much more thought. Seen it all and heard plenty, what’s one more crazy rant? Had plenty others to reel in; the Maggio brothers were feuding again and all the little fishies were circling for the fallout.
Maybe a twinge when Clara over in Society mentioned Lex had been out of the news awhile. Sure, he’s a crook but a filthy rich one. Still, wasn’t a clear follow-my-lead twinge. It was when I was climbing the stairs out of the 27th that those little hairs woke up. The twinge turned into a honking reminder. I checked the snub-nose, yup still in the left pocket. Didn’t carry till lately, but like I said, a guy gets jumpy.
Brutus fleshed out of the archway. No way you could mistake that lump, Lex must be paying by the pound. Tried to bluff it, “Lose your ride big guy?”
Not one for small talk, probably couldn’t form a coherent thought never mind say it out loud. The street light crossed his bulk and the muzzle already pointed at me. Geez, this guy was a broken record. I shrugged, “Your dime”. A teeth-chattering blow ended any more brilliant conversation and sent me into blackness.
“Ah, there is our reporter,” that voice was unmistakable. No use faking it, not with brute’s ham hocks around. Opened my eyes and once again found myself watching Lex across a limo’s vast space, “Something I should know about?”
It was champagne at this meeting. Lex practically vibrated with excitement. “All in good time please. I have to say I am rather disappointed in you. I thought we had an understanding.” He stopped for a moment, head cocked, eyes turned in. “True, true. I cannot really hold you accountable after all. I have been…otherwise detained.”
This was not a good sign; silent partners don’t bode well for sane talkers. My eyes roved the interior, no door handles, no blunt objects except for the bottle chilling next to brute.
Lex caught my movement. “This vintage is exquisite, you must try it. I insist.”
Brute’s pig eyes bored into me as he leaned over, his paw dwarfing the crystal. Master and pet stared at me till I relented and sipped gingerly.
Lex grinned and barked, “Now please.”
The brute touched several buttons at his console. The limo’s windows wept into transparency. I was startled to see the North Park amphitheater below us. We must’ve been up on the Smallville South extension. North Park , why did that sound so familiar? I looked at the crowd milling. North, what was it?
It clicked as Lex crooned, “I just love a good cause.” The Iraqi Anti-Defamation League had filed a permit for North Park . Was being billed as a “peaceful meeting of like-minded citizens to join in prayer and demonstrate the real truth of the Iraqi people”.
“Wait…wait…no…give it to me!” Lex was practically jumping out of his seat in agitation. My gut gave a hard roll; it wasn’t liking this one bit. I stared at the mixed group, some chattering in smaller sections, several with hands linked, heads down.
Luther was holding a mike to his mouth with one hand, champagne long forgotten, the other thumb covering a small box. I tensed but brute had the smarts of all predators and crushed my shoulder in a vise grip. My gut flipped again and I swallowed thickly.
“Death to the infidel. There is only one God and Allah is his name.” Thumb pressing down, a crump that shakes even the armored limo, human wails mixing with mechanical ones, Lex beaming angelically and then brute’s backhand sending me back into oblivion.

That brings me to this flying heap. When I came to it was strapped in the middle of a pack of brutus clones. They were comparing hardware enthusiastically till several noticed I was awake. The front curtain peeled back and he walked down the aisle.
“Excellent!” That voice. My eyes must’ve looked pretty funny shooting knives.
“It was perfect. What a day, what a response. And the media darlings! I really must apologize, the story of the year and here I had you incommunicado. No Peabody Award for you I’m afraid.”
I was still getting pretty clear flashes of what happens when large quantities of explosive meet multiple soft humans. “What are you up to now Luthor?”
“Now I thought we were friends. I seem to recall a certain understanding we had, promises made. And everything I have gone through to fulfill my end of that arrangement. But a prophet is never accepted in his own country as they say.”
I squirmed in my seat, “You’re no prophet, just insane.”
Lex laughed, the hired guns joining him. “No, no, no! Not insane, just the most brilliant mind in history! Who else could orchestrate the perfect cover to implicate al-Qaeda? Who else will be cheered as America ’s savior when Osama is dead? And who will have to acknowledge my superiority?”
Lex turned and still chuckling, strode back to his private quarters. The plane droned on. The goons relaxed, some slept. Finally convinced them of the need for toilet breaks.
Not much tape left. I’ve got a good idea where we’re going and what Lex will do when we get there. Don’t know the plan for me. Out of time, they’re at the door. Hope somebody finds thi…

And going and going and going...

So here it is November. Happy Birthday to me! Well...actually it was yesterday but it still counts. I hit the prime old age of 38. To celebrate I went out and ran a fast 3.72 miles with the running group I hang with. Felt good since I took the whole week off from any running after tweaking my knee last Friday. I decided because of this not to run tomorrows DOWD Half Marathon. I will start pushing again for the Charlotte Thunder Road Half Marathon.

I also changed the colors, if you hadn't noticed by now, of the blog.

New Age = Change

So let us see if this weekend will bring about any good luck...will SU when a 3rd game? Will the Atlanta Falcons win their 2nd game? A new manager for the Yankees! That's a sign of hopefully things to come.

I promise...and I really do...to put some stuff up soon...just trying to get some other stuff taken care of. Thanks for you patience and see you soon! Oh...and I hope everyone had a good Halloween!

Lake Norman 15k 10/20/07

Yes the Grand Prix running series is over! I get to have the honor of saying I ran all 10 races. This photo was taken from the final one, which happens to be the longest one of the series (15k, or 9.3 miles). I came in 10 minutes slower than last year but my goal was to run a strong race and not fast since I am trying to get ready for two half marathons. One is in two weeks and the other 4 weeks after that.
You can see the standings here: http://www.runforyourlife.com/gpps.html

They haven't posted the latest points from the 15k but I feel good having ran all ten. My goal this year was to run the series and go over 600 miles. I am just over 560 miles now so once I get over that 600 mark both of the goals will be met.

Rocktoberfest!

So it has been a while...to long for me for sure...but my bud from College, Joe, and I went to Ashville, NC last week for his birthday to catch the UK band Porcupine Tree and let me tell you it was freaking awesome!

They played a 2 hour set and it was just as last time...mind blowing. I do have to say that this is the first time I went to Ashville and hit up the actual city. Lots and lots of hippies, it reminded me of my college days at Oneonta State in NY. And I did not try the muffin at the local coffee store, called the Dripolater. We walked in to get that coffee shot in the morning and there on the rack was the Secret Ingredient Bran Muffin...Yeah...Like I am going to try that...

I've logged over 540 miles now and gearing up for a 15k this weekend, two half marathons are coming up as well in the following 2 months so this should be fun (for me...I didn't say for you).

The cooler weather is finally here which is awesome. And you might have noticed the new World Of El Dude logo up top...I think it's close but not quite there. So have fun and go out and get a pint...if it's to early in the morning go for a walk or a run. Just go out and enjoy the cooler weather. Oh and one last thing...lets all pause for a moment and wish to the Gods that rain comes to Charlotte. The creek dried up and the grass is like walking on straw. Later on Boys and Girls!

Come On Fall...Show Yourself!

So many of the public radios are doing their fall pledge drives, the TV shows are starting their fall schedules, fall is officially here, but why do I get that feeling that it's just not right yet? It probably is due to several reasons...How about that it was 92 degrees yesterday in the south? How about that the creek behind my house is now dry from the total lack of rainfall? Yeah...that could be it. Oh and last night my home laptop crashed...if you scroll down you'll see that about a little more than a month ago my work laptop crashed. It's a trend man!

Have you seen the new Bionic Woman? We'll see as time passes how it goes. I did enjoy the comedy shows that started up again this week such as How I Met Your Mother, The Office, and My Name Is Earl. And let us not forget Heroes! Now those help make the lack of water...nah...they don't help...they just make us forget. So to hope for cooler weather since it's supposed to drop to 50 degree tomorrow morning, fingers crossed, while I run the 2nd to last of the Race Series I've been trying (It's called the Hit The Brixx 10k)...I have done this little picture practicing my PEN skills on photoshop. A hot, ice blue sprite! Cheers!

Alas poor Summer I will not miss you...

So it seems we can't beat the heat in the southern states. I was listening to wubr out of Boston yesterday and they were talking highs in the 70's...meanwhile those of us in the south are having to deal with a drought, and temps in the 90's. I've got a 10k in about 2 weeks and the farthest I have ran is 4 miles to date due to the heat. Time to push through it I guess. So in the meanwhile...here is a riddle that I've always enjoyed. Give it a shot and I promise I will be putting some sketches on soon...

The Riddle:

What is the beginning of eternity,
The end of time and space,
The beginning of the end,
And the and of every race...

Do you know the answer? It's a nice one for sure...Can't wait to hear any responses...til then my friends...Later and cheers!

Frak this Heat...Come on Fall!

So I had a UTI last week that ticked me off. It seems every summer when the temperatures get hot I get one. I tweaked Betty a little. I was blind to the bumps photoshop left with the background until it was brought to my attention by someone on the Drawing Board. I mean I must really have been blind to that!

Had dinner with a person I haven't seen in 19 years since I graduated high school. What a time I had. It was a eye opening experience as it made me realize there were some good times at high school and not all bad as I thought. I could go on like I did Friday night but you all would be blind from reading it. No really...like talking your ears off but instead eyes...hence the blind note. Get it? Okay maybe not the greatest way of explaining it but am I a teacher? Nope...leave that to my brother. Stay cool...start doing some rain dances for Charlotte. Not to much...just enough that the plants, trees, and all the wild life can breath again. I ran last week in the park after work, not much just 2.5 miles. Foolish! Some times during the run the wind would disappear living only stagnant swamp air. Lesson was drilled into my head by the finish. Cheers!

Betty...the babe with the guns...

After so much time not putting a post on, here I am cranking them out this week. And after a time without a sketch here I am with the final of Betty! I think I originally came up with her as a way to test 3D skills, which I still lack but have improved on. Though I am not 100% happy with her several flaws, I am happy with the outcome. Enjoy her as I go from start to finish...Cheer!

Its Hot - Need I say more...

So I'm back in business with my work laptop. I had last week off due to health, and vacation and such. My brother came down and spent a couple of days with my wife and I (and all animals). Now that I am beginning to get back in the saddle again I can't wait to finish up Betty. Wait until you see her... WOW!

So let's see what else to mention...New Flash Gordon on Sci-Fi this Friday. I don't know about it yet. It's a wait and see.

It's supposed to hit 100 degrees today and tomorrow. I will not be seen on the road running and you can put that to the test. Once this past month began with temperatures in the 90's my running was taken down a notch. Cool weather means more miles simply put.

See you soon. Cheers!

When Drives go bad...

Nobody likes the dreaded Blue Screen Of Death...So my work laptop went through some "issues" last week and Mr. Blue Screen came for a visit. Now I have been using a desktop that doesn't like Access, it has a track ball instead of the mouse I am used to, and the monitor is an ancient piece of technology that even my Archeology background (more like a hobby) would say..."Hmmm interesting, perhaps from the 90's era". Don't get me wrong, I appreciated being able to use it while the IT guy is on vacation. MR. Murphy decided to pull this stunt the day before he left though the signs were there, we just didn't think where it was leading to. I have been using my own laptop so that that I transfer stuff between the desk top and it. This gives me the privacy I have gotten used to and the lighting that doesn't force me to take aspirin to stop the headaches. Boy...Am I bitchy today or what?

I have been working on Betty in my off time. You remember Betty don't cha? This is Betty!

Well maybe you don't remember Betty. I tweaked her a little and did some of the edges but it's still the same sketch without any real touch up. Wait until you see the work I've done on Betty! Til the next post...Cheers! And have a pint for me wishing me a good hard drive to come into my hands!

Thoughts On Comics Over A Cup Of Tea?

So one of the cool things about Comic Conventions is that if you are lucky you walk away meeting cool and interesting people...Well this year I did just that. One of the couples I met were Derek and Nikki Davis. Follow art and comic junkies like yours truly. So here is my thank you for letting me get a good chance to BS with them:

http://www.thoughtsoncomicsoveracupoftea.blogspot.com/

Go check them out, they just started this blog so give it time.

I'm working on a couple of sketches right now to just tweak my skills a bit, which is something that everyone needs to do in order to improve anyways. Have you ever wondered why Yellow Trucking Company Trucks are Orange? From information gathered it's because way, way back they were part of Yellow Taxi Cab company and when the monopoly went splitsville they could keep the name but not the color. How is that for totally useless trivia?

Stay cool and remember to have a pint on me...Cheers!

Who deserves a treat? Yeah...good dog...good dog...

Enjoy these photos of my dogs showing me they deserve a snack...and to those of us who have dogs...we know they do this with the knowledge they have you wrapped around their paws.

Good Mike...good Mike...that's it give us a treat...good Mike...

The Dr. is back!

So Dr. Who is back for the next season on Sci-Fi this Friday night! Awesome as the summer was getting pretty dull with out a hit of good Science Fiction. I reworked Jinx a little as her right leg was bugging the heck out of me. It kept hitting me.
Let me introduce to you Copper. The newest member of the family. On separate runs taken by my wife and I, we saw him running around, dirty, no tags, and not a good diet. I am a sucker for animals people. I think peace would be better if we all let the pets of each politician in the room when they are getting angry. Yeah...I know it is not going to happen but we can all dream. We put his photo up on the web for losts and strays and no bites occurred. So we decided since he got along with us and my other "kids" he was welcome.

Cheers and go grab yourself a cold Molson!

Recovered from the RUSH...

So now that I have finally caught my breath after all the hoopla from the con and RUSH concert which kept me in a state of having a stupid grin for all of last week...Let me introduce you all to Jinx...She is a character in an RPG that came to mind. From beginning to almost at the end she is a pleasure to look upon...So without further adieu...Jinx!

Heroes Con and RUSH...

I am at a loss for words as to this past weekend. Let me just say it as best as possible and let you imagine the intense emotions that must be letting me say...

It was awesome!

Thursday I helped out at the Heroes convention by picking up artists and getting them to the hotel. It started by meeting Derec Donovan (
http://www.derecdonovan.com/ ) who after I got him to the convention went to lunch with at a pizza pad across the street. This guy is super friendly and deserves a kudos! Check out his stuff and say " Cool!"

Then I picked up Barry Kitson (
http://www.barrykitson.com/ ) who had to sleep overnight at Washington Airport and lost his luggage. This guy, who hails from England, also was awesome. Then before we could get him to the hotel we had to return to the airport and pick up Tim Seeley ( http://timseeley.com/ ), who, you guessed it, was also super cool. So the two artists, my driving partners Lisa and Talia, and I went to Wally's World to get Barry some clothes to have for the next day or so. Then after getting the clothes (which will lead to another story) the whole group of us went to the airport again to pick up the legend Jerry Robinson. This man set the bar for all artists to follow! We all were in awe and need I say very impressed with Jerry and his wife as she passed out cherries to the group of us.

We continued to pick up more artists for the rest of the day (Nick Cardy , Michael Golden to throw a couple names out) and finally around 8:30 pm called it a night. Nick is another legend and everyone should take a moment to check out his stuff if you ever get the chance.

The next day was to the next step of the excitement ladder...My wife had a biopsy ( which I found out today was a big negative!!!) and while I waited for the procedure to finish my cell was getting messages from Barry and Tim (Previous day). Barry was wondering if I could assist him in going back to Wally's World and get some clothes. Well...hell yes! Donna (slightly sore), and myself went over to the hotel at 7:30pm and picked up Barry, Matt Fraction, and Mark. These three make up the comic book The Order by Marvel which should be coming out this July. The group of us went to get clothes and then I took them to The Cantina for some Mexican Dinner. I was in heaven! These guys talked shop as well as general conversational knowledge which I can say has all been put into my memory as one of the best ( top 10 ) moments I've ever had.

The next day Donna and I went to the comic con and found out the whole taking Barry to the airport story has made it's way out to other artists and I got a thank you from several of them while attending the con. I can say I have the ultimate con story now! I also got to meet Robin Mitchell who is another awesome and talented Artist (
http://robinmitchell1972.blogspot.com/ )

So the weekend is over...NO I say! Last night two of my best friends and I (Links on this page for Bill Foronjy and Joe Dorn) went and saw RUSH! Yes that awesome trio of Canadians whom I am listening to at this very moment. The show was awesome, and more awesome was just being able to see Bill. The third time in ten years! These two guys are brothers to me and hail back to meeting them at Oneonta State back in (dare I say it?) 92!

So now it's a cool down day. A day to get my energy back from drinking 1 to many beers. A day to take it all in and live in this moment as they don't happen often and when they do grab onto them and savor them. It was to quote RUSH, "A moment to pass an evening with a drink and a friend."

So there you have it...The best weekend to have in a long time. My wife is healthy, I saw RUSH, I saw Bill, I had a great treat at the Con. Thank you to the gods that watch over me for giving me this. Merci! Cheers! And to top it off... Love, Peace, and as a Running Partner would say... Monkey Grease!

I do promise some sketches and such coming... I really do... Thought the story would be good to pass along first!

Sprite in a Bottle...

As you can see the art of photoshop is coming along very nicely... Cheers!

HeroesCon and Soprano's

So it's less then two weeks away to Charlotte's Heroes Convention! I can't say enough about it except it is awesome. I've been to it once just to check it out, I've been there once as a worker, and this year... well... I will be a worker again but I'll be helping set it up with the fantastic crew at Heroes Aren't Hard To Find (Found here http://www.heroesonline.com/ ) and the best part is I have been asked to help pick up some of the artists coming into Charlotte at the airport! Can you say acting like a giddy little kid... I promise to any of those that may be reading this that I will not take them out to drink (unless asked after hours)...Joking aside it should be a great time and you should check it out if you are in the area!

One more week to the final episode of The Soprano's! The family is getting thinned out one by one...Who will survive? I think Pauly will turn on Tony so he can save his own skin.

Lost is done with till next year, BSG will be in its last year starting in 2008, so what am I to do during summer? Well..In July Dr. Who starts up again on Sci-Fi! I've always been a fine of the Doctor... Been working on some more coloring and yes I promise I will post it soon. I also fixed the MP3 issue as can be heard now... Till the next post friends!

Cheers!

Practice Coloring

Not much to add...except for these two pictures. I threw in the starting point from the sketch book to the final piece (at least for now). Cheers!

Add a little color to the world...

Got a 5k Race tomorrow night, the Twilight 5k. It'll be hot since the sun will be out all day to warm the streets. Why a race at night? Well...it is the Twilight 5k...a lot of us would love it to be the Dusk 5k when it's cooler but it ain't gonna happen. The above babe was an inspiration from one I saw at another website previously mentioned right here! Enjoy!

Cheers!

Only a couple of more episodes of Sopranos till the final, several to go on Heroes and Lost, what's a guy to do for the summer? A good pal introduced me to the very addictive Worlds of Warcraft and like so many others I am hooked. My NY Rangers choked at the hands of Buffalo, and the NY Yankees are not much better.

However there is a bright side! There are new RUSH, and Porcupine Tree Cd's to listen to!!! I'm all set to go see RUSH next month with a person I am proud to call a brother, El Fogger! Which one day if he lets me he'll let me tell you the story of how that name came to be...it was good let me tell ya! Enjoy the progression of this sketch "Pilot"

Cheers!

Little Bunny Foofoo and DD!

We've all heard the tale about Little Bunny Foo-foo. Kudos to Pam S. to bringing into my life so many, many years ago. I still see her making the little bunny ears and (I'm smiling while I write this one) bopping little the little bunny on the head. This story was retold by the awesome show South Park by Butters just a couple of years ago. Well here's Foo-foo who's digging life near the giant shroom of happiness! Cheers Foo-foo!

And let's add one more...everyones favorite lawyer / superhero...Ladies and gentlemen...DD!

New stuff...coming soon!

So I discovered that learning more about the scanner I use to scan my stuff so I can post it, is a good thing. I've been using the color scan option instead of grey scale and then I would use Photoshop to darken it. NO MORE I SAY! I give all the credit to my awesome wife, Donna, as she suggested to try it as I was getting irritated to the look I was getting when I was scanning stuff. So after trying it on the "grey scale" my jaw dropped and I said "AH HA!" Gave my wife several kisses and a hug and proceeded to copy a bunch of my stuff. Now it's just a matter of tweaking it a bit and loading it up for digestion to all of you. In the mean while check out this site: http://www.bugglefug.com/. Tim's got some really cool sci-fi/fantasy stuff that can be appreciated.

Let's all give the NY Rangers a pat on the back and hope they can advance to the Cup! Go Rangers!

Let's all give A-Rod and the Yankees a resounding Homer Simpson "DOH" for the losing against the Sox.

And finally NFL Draft this coming weekend!

Tweaking a bunch and it'll be on soon. Later all!

Tony Soprano gets the job done...

How many of you saw the Soprano's this past Sunday? Raise your hand...yes you in the back ground, you too! It was awesome! I couldn't believe the fight that took place and once again proving how much I can't stand Tony's sister.

So I had a guest over the house, get it...over the house...Yeah...humor, you gotta work hard to get something like that...I snapped the above picture right after it snacked on a freaking huge grub! I'm working on some sketches, just haven't hand the time to nail them into the computer. Till the next time my few visitors of hte blog!

All good things must come to an end...

No pictures to post today. I wanted to say that last night was the end of the series ROME on HBO. If you haven't seen it yet, then you've missed a good series. It told a good tale of two Roman warriors during the time of Julius Ceaser, dealing with their struggles and triumphs.

It was also the season finale of Battlestar Galatica on the Sci-Fi station. I haven't watched it yet but will tonight. No begins the long wait for something to begin again which is Sopranos and Heroes very soon. Oh yes my children...the final story of Big Tony Soprano.

That's all for now...Later and good day citizen!

The Shamrock 4 miler!

So tomorrow is the first of a series of races here in Charlotte (Running, not Nascar). It's called the Gran Prix held by Run For Your Life (http://www.runforyourlife.com/). The first is the Shamrock 4 Miler and I am pumped to go out and do my best. In the mean while enjoy the beginning to end process of my first attempt with coloring using Adobe. Oh...And the new RUSH album is out on April 1st and that is no joke! Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you Irish folk!

My daughters...they always bring on a smile!

An Owl, An Eclipse, and two flowers blooming!

So I've been working on some coloring of previous posts which is not as easy as I thought but for sure will get easier as I learn more. But this weekend is one of new and exciting things...There was a lunar eclipse that I snapped a few shots of, a Barred Owl that was a first siting for me right outside my house, and two of my Mom's orchids bloomed causing an awesome sweet smell to spread throught the house...What a awesome weekend!

Oh, and lets not forget Free Agency started in the NFL!!!

Out with the new and in with the old?

So here's one that I did that was inspired from a sketch in Sketch Magazine. It was originally from Mitch Byrd and I thought he did a much better job than mine. But practice makes for a better method and I learned a thing or two from doing this one.

Have you seen the New Star Trek Original Series reworks? I've been catching them on a local station where they redid the Enterprise and some special effects. I've had a huge grin while watching them as even though I have seen each one a hundred times with the new special effects it's all new again!

And how about Heroes? It's coming along okay and to see the man Stan Lee on last nights show was very cool!

Okay Knuckleheads...till next time and I promise to not take as long...L8R!
